ALBAWABA - The Sudanese Doctors Network warned that the Rapid Support Forces' continued siege of El Fasher and the prevention of food and medicine from entering the city, putting more than half a million Sudanese at risk of starvation.
The network described what is happening in El Fasher as a "full-fledged genocide", calling on the international community to act quickly to save the people there.
On Saturday, the Sudanese army confirmed its intention to lift the Rapid Support Forces' siege of El Fasher in Darfur.

Al Arabiya and Al Hadath correspondents said that the Sudanese army was able to stop the Rapid Support Forces from advancing on the southern part of El Fasher city.
Nonetheless, media reporters confirmed that "most of El Fasher's hospitals are out of service due to repeated shelling," adding that "900,000 people are suffering from hunger due to the siege of El Fasher."
On the other hand, the Coordination Office for Displaced Persons and Refugees in Darfur, western Sudan, announced on Sunday that the cumulative number of cholera cases has risen to 10,297, including 416 deaths, since the outbreak began.
