In the West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city of Nablus and detained scores of Palestinians.Palestinian sources said a large number of military vehicles and soldiers invaded several neighborhoods in Nablus City, especially the Ras Al Ein neighborhood, and detained a number of Palestinians, who were praying inside a local mosque. The Israeli soldiers also broke into several houses in the neighborhood and detained several women inside, including one the Israeli forces claim to be a mother of a "wanted" Palestinian activist.
Eyewitnesses said soldiers and Palestinian fighters exchanged fire. Pillars of smoke were seen rising from the city's western parts. At least three Palestinians were reported wounded.
Journalists were prevented from approaching the invaded neighborhoods, especially the western cemetery, Al Samra neighborhood and adjacent streets, as Israel declared these neighborhoods "closed military zones."
Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers manning Beit Foreek military checkpoint detained scores of Palestinians waiting to be allowed passing the checkpoint. (Albawaba.com)
