PepsiCo-Jordan Organizes Factory Tour for Its Employees’ Children

PepsiCo-Jordan – the winner of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence/Private Sector for 2009 – organized a fun educational tour of its factory for its employees' children on the 9th of August 2010. The tour brought together children between the ages of 6-12, and corresponded with PepsiCo-Jordan's aims of deepening its employees' and their families' sense of belonging to the company.

Through the comprehensive tour, PepsiCo-Jordan introduced the children to the factory's various departments and educated them on its products different production phases. The tour also involved a variety of entertainment activities such as face painting and entertainment, music and clown shows. Token gifts and prizes such as stationery and back to school items were also distributed, and participants were treated to light meals, drinks and dessert.

"Organizing this tour for our staff's kids was a pleasure and serves as a gesture of our appreciation to our team members," said Mr. Sufian Salman, East Med & Africa Business Unit HR Director at PepsiCo. "We aimed to create a fun and educational day for the children; we hope that we have succeeded in bringing the smiles to their faces and providing them with valuable information on their parents' workplace."
