With the F1 season in full swing, Philips Shavers and the AT&T Williams Formula One team brought the thrill and excitement of F1 racing to fans across the UAE.
A full size AT&T Williams F1 simulator took centre court stage at Deira City Centre between the 29th of March and the 4th of April as Philips Shavers launched its ‘Getting you closer to F1’ SMS & Win promotion on purchase of Philips 9100, 8100, 7200 and 7100 series shavers. A trip for two to the Monaco Grand Prix is up for grabs plus other valuable prizes.
The F1 simulator featured realistic force feedback through the steering wheel simulating the loading effect whilst cornering, braking and acceleration. It was controlled by the participant using the onboard brake and accelerator pedals. The experience is enhanced as the participant sits in a genuine F1 car with a full set of wheels and aerodynamics. It's not often that people get to see a real F1 car up close, set the fastest lap and have their pictures taken with it.
“The simulator was incredibly exciting and made it feel as if you were really in the cockpit of a F1 racer, “said Grit Henoch a Formula One fan who tried the simulator out. “This was as close as you can get to actually doing the real thing.”
