Press: New Wave of Violence Kills Seven, Wounds Two in Algiers

New wave of violence killed at least seven people and wounded two others during the weekend in different areas in Algeria, reported Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), quoting press reports. 

The Le Matin and Elwatan newspapers said four young farmers were brutally killed on Thursday and Friday in the Hamr Alain town in the Tipaza province, 70 kilometers west of the capital Algiers.  

Ten armed men who were disguised as security men killed the victims inside their homes, said the papers.  

The Arabic El-Khabar newspaper reported that army forces killed three members of an armed group during fierce clashes. 

Two girls who were kidnapped were freed during a campaign by the police carried out in the Qalata town in the shelf province, 200 kilometers west of Algiers.  

In the meantime, Two civilians were wounded last Wednesday and Thursday by a bomb explosion planted in an electric pole in the Khamees Milyana town in the Ain Defla province west of Algiers, said the agency, quoting the paper – Albawaba.com
