Saudi Arabia’s Prince Abdulaziz Al Faisal followed up his race victory 24 hours earlier by setting the fastest time in official practice this morning for the fourth round of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.
Prince Abdulaziz set a time of 1:16:393 at Reem International Circuit outside Riyadh to edge out the two drivers who followed him on to the podium from yesterday’s third round, Bahrain’s Sheikh Salman Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, 1:16:640, and 16-year-old Fahad Algosaibi, 1:16:894.
Prince Khalid Al Faisal was fourth fastest in a time of 1:17:276, with fellow Saudi drivers Bandar Alireza, 1:17:432, and Faisal Binladen, 1:17:477, completing the top six.
Abu Dhabi’s Khaled Al Qubaisi, who is the least experienced driver in the new one-make Porsche series, was next fastest with a time 1:17:527, just ahead of Saudi’s Bandar Alesayi in 1:17:677. Veteran Lebanese driver Nabil “Billy” Karam, making a guest appearance, was eighth fastest in 1:18:438.
