On Behalf of the Vice Minister of Municipal & Rural Affairs, Prince Dr. Mansour Bin Meteb Bin Abdulaziz, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayaf Al Miqren, Mayor of Riyadh region has yesterday (Sunday, Shawwal 15, 1430H / October 4, 2009) inaugurated Saudi Build/Stone 2009 at the newly completed Riyadh International Exhibition Centre amid a gathering of prominent personalities from the public and private sectors as well as representatives from diplomatic missions based in Riyadh. Saudi Build/Stone 2009, the biggest business-to-business construction and stone trade event in the region that will run from Shawwal 15 to 18, 1430 H / October 4 to 7, has attracted more than 650 exhibitors from 38 countries with a total of 16 national pavilions, exceeding last year's participation by 50 per cent.
Riyadh Exhibitions Company, organiser of Saudi Build/Stone, has revealed that the event has received tremendous response from exhibitors from all over the world as exhibition space at Riyadh International Exhibition Centre, one of the region's most advanced exhibition facilities, has been fully sold out, while several applications had to be placed on the wait list. Riyadh Exhibitions Company further disclosed that they are fully prepared to accommodate thousands of local, regional and international visitors, including business leaders, diplomats and high-ranking Saudi Government officials.
Saudi Build 2009 will feature two concurrent exhibitions: Saudi Build 2009 – The 21st International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition; and Saudi Stone 2009 – The 12th International Stone and Stone Technology Show.

Saudi Build serves as a gateway for local and foreign investors to capitalise on Saudi Arabia's robust construction and real estate markets, gathering hundreds of exhibiting companies from Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Saudi Stone, on the other hand, caters to evolving requirements and changing trends in stone technology products, machinery and services, and will feature designers and landscapers who will showcase cutting-edge stone products, including marble, granite, travertine and stone derivatives, as well as cutting, polishing and manufacturing machinery. Saudi Stone will also host national pavilions representing Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE and UK.
Riyadh Exhibitions Company has also revealed that it has completed preparations for other high-profile trade events to be held this year, including GCC Power 2009, Saudi Petrochem 2009, Saudi Plas 2009, Saudi Print 2009 and Saudi Pack 2009 in October; Saudi Agriculture 2009, Saudi Agro-Food 2009, and Recycling and Waste Management Saudi Arabia 2009 in November; and Riyadh Motor Show 2009 and Saudi AutoShop 2009 in December.
