solutions in the Middle East, is fast consolidating its market presence in the region with expansions into key strategic markets and introduction of a host of innovative new solutions from the world’s foremost technology manufacturers. PRO TECHnology had posted record growth in 2005, with revenues increasing by a remarkable 70.83 per cent over the previous year. The Dubai-based company has carried on its excellent performance into 2006 and is targeting a 92 per cent growth in total revenues for the year.

PRO TECHnology organized a meeting on June 6, 2006, for the company’s management and several overseas partners from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran & Libya as part of their plans to shed light on the major corporate-wide initiative and significant company milestones including financial accomplishments in the current year. Khaled Ramlaw, Regional Director of Storageflex and Qualstar attended the meeting among many other Managing Partners, General Managers and Finance and Administration Managers from PRO TECHnology’s branches, who took part in several discussions, and exchanged valuable information on new products and services as well as emerging technologies.

The meeting also provided an overview on the company’s performance in 2005 and highlighted PRO TECHnology’s achievements as evidenced by the significant growth in revenues. An outline on the management structure and high-priority company activities, plans and targets for the future were also provided to the members.

In 2005, PRO TECHnology had entered into agreements with a host of high-profile entities to implement enterprise storage solutions, among them the UAE Armed Forces, Bahrain Ministry of Education, UAE Air Force, Dubai Municipality, MBC, Impact BBDO, Almal Capital, and Sharjah Free Zone. New clients added by PRO TECHnology in the retail sector in 2005 included Dubai Duty Free, Plug-Ins, Jumbo, and Virgin.

Jamal H. Maraqa, Managing Director of PRO TECHnology Co. LLC., said: “2005 was an exceptional year for PRO TECHnology, with revenues touching new highs and an array of significant new agreements signed with prestigious clients. This remarkable growth was driven largely by the unprecedented IT boom in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE which has emerged as the technology hub of the region. If our performance during the first quarter of 2006 is any indication, PRO TECHnology is well on track to improve upon last year’s feat by posting a revenue growth of 92 per cent for the year.”

2005 also witnessed PRO TECHnology embark on strategic expansions into key markets such as Iran and Saudi Arabia, in an effort to tap the opportunities presented by the technology boom in the region. PRO TECHnology now has presence in Jordan, Libya, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, besides the UAE.

“PRO TECHnology is focused on expanding its reach by having a direct presence in major regional markets. Saudi Arabia and Iran are two of the largest economies in the region and amongst the fastest-growing IT markets, and our expansion into these countries will allow us to secure a strong foothold in these vital markets,” said Maraqa. “PRO TECHnology has partnered with some of the world’s foremost IT companies, and we will continue to leverage these strategic alliances to provide breakthrough solutions to our clients.”

Global technology leaders with whom PRO TECHnology signed strategic agreements last year included Be.eZ of France, PosterJet Rip Software, and US-based firms Small Tree Communication and Nexsan Technologies. The company was also appointed as the exclusive distributor for Dicota products in the Middle East and North Africa.

PRO TECHnology introduced a host of industry-leading solutions to the Middle East market during last year. The products launched by PRO TECHnology in 2005 include high bandwidth networking solutions from Small Tree, high-density storage devices from Nexsan, and the latest range of mobility solutions from LaCie.

PRO TECHnology had extensive presence at several major regional and international exhibitions and conferences held in 2005, including Gitex Dubai 2005, Media & Marketing Show 2005, and Gulf Print 2005, where they participated alongside Hewlett Packard Middle East. The company also had strong representation at Cabsat (Cable, Satellite, Broadcast and Communications Exhibition) 2006 in Dubai and Cebit 2006 that was held in Hannover in Germany.
