PRO TECHnology signs strategic agreement with Maximum Throughput at Gitex 2006

Dubai based system integrator PRO TECHnology, has announced a strategic partnership with Maximum Throughput (Max-T) to market its solutions in the region. The two companies are currently showcasing the latest storage and Media Management solutions at Gitex 2006 including Sledgehammer platform + MAXmedia and Xstoner software.

Max–T, founded in 1998, provides ultra high-performance solutions serving the storage infrastructure and media management needs of the entertainment, media and broadcasting industry. The company’s unique solutions provide many times the storage bandwidth of other NAS and SAN products, using smart software that runs on industry standard hardware. The media management tools are integrated within the storage, delivering enriched functionality in one versatile solution. The company international clientele includes BBC, Fox, Moving Picture Company, Digital Domain and Technicolor.

Max–T's Sledgehammer platform is a networked storage solution, optimized for moving digital content at unparalleled speeds onto or off an IP-based network. On the other hand, Xstoner is a client-server software and networking utility that connects Windows-based PC and Mac OS X desktops with Discreet Advanced System offerings, complete with a full range of tools for browsing, importing and exporting clips and image files including batch processing and image manipulation capabilities. Post and broadcast facilities can now initiate and control the transfer of content between machines with no bottlenecks.

MAXmedia is an application specifically designed to cater to colourists, editors, visual effects artists and I/O operators with a rich toolset for digital content preparation and management from acquisition to delivery.
