Qtel is offering a special rate for sending Picture and Video Messaging (MMS) for the Holy Month of Ramadan, with customers now able to send greetings and wishes to over 700 mobile operators globally and locally in Qatar for only QR 0.90.
MMS has become a popular way for people to share greetings with friends, allowing them to combine pictures, audio and video with a long text message. In the Holy Month of Ramadan, many people send Islamic imagery and verses from the Qur’an, along with congratulatory messages, in the first days, as well as Eid Greetings during Eid al-Fitr.
In addition, MMS has become a popular method of sharing readings from the Qur’an, Hadith (oral traditions) and Anasheed (Islamic vocal music) with family and friends.
Recognising the importance of the Holy Month of Ramadan and as part of its continuing commitment to providing the best means for customers to keep in touch with their loved ones, Qtel is offering a special rate of QR 0.90 all day, every day, and is working with mobile operators in over 200 countries and territories around the world to enable customers to send MMS internationally.
The Ramadan offer is set to run from 16 August through to 10 October, covering the whole of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the Eid Holiday.
By reducing the price and having the same rate locally and internationally, Qtel is ensuring that the widest range of people can send MMS to family and friends across the world, whenever they want to.

To be able to send an MMS, customers simply require an MMS-capable handset and have the Qtel MMS settings. The settings can be retrieved by texting ALL to 92072. Qtel will send a special reminder for people who don’t have those settings, so that they can access a Website which supports MMS.
