Quake shakes Iranian city

An earthquake measuring 3.5 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale rocked the Iranian city of Tabas in the central province of Yazd at 08:17 (local time)Wednesday.  

 

The provincial seismological base, affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University announced the epicenter of the earthquake in the region, at around 40 kilometers north of Tabas, the official IRNA news agency reported.  

 

No report has yet been received on casualties or damage. (Albawaba.com)
