Driven by its social responsibility towards the community, Al Rajhi Cement- Jordan, represented by General Manager Mr. Feras Qarrain, signed a collaboration agreement with Al al-Bayt University represented by the university president, Dr. Nabil Shawakfa on Wednesday the 20th of January.
The agreement involves the exchange of information in areas of chemical analysis, laboratory tests, studies and research materials used in cement production, in addition to offering training courses and cooperation in the transfer of knowledge to serve the cement industry in Jordan, along with studies and analysis of environmental issues. Moreover Al Rajhi cement –Jordan will assist students at Al al-Bayt University in the completion of their projects by providing them with required educational scientific information.
Dr. Shawakfa Al al-Bayt University president stated “We are proud of this collaboration with Al Rajhi Cement-Jordan, and we are optimistic about the outcomes of this partnership that will reflect positively on our students in particular through strengthening their competencies and the local community in general by advancing sustainable economical development”.
Mr. Feras Qarien General Manager at Al Rajhi Cement Jordan added” This partnership reflects our commitment to invest in and contribute to the growth of the educational and economic sectors in Jordan. Through the exchange of technology and expertise with Al al-Bayt University, we will be able to support and upgrade the educational level in the industrial sector and assist the university students in their research and studies in the field of cement manufacturing.”
Al-Rajhi Cement - Jordan was founded in 2006 to meet the growing demand for cement in the Jordanian market after the development boom that accompanied the construction industry in various areas across the Kingdom. Al Rajhi factory was established in the province of Mafraq, according to the highest international standards that support the use of the latest machinery and techniques to become Al Rajhi Group’s first investment in the Kingdom.
