Rapturous and Comic Shows on the 11th Day of Amman Summer Festival 2010

entertaining and artistic activities, humor and performances amused Al Hussein Parks’ visitors, such as the comic play by the Artists Hasan Sabayleh and Rania Ismail within the 5th edition of Amman Summer Festival.
The actors Za’al and Khadrah performed within a critic humorous atmosphere the play “Shubak ‘Eiletna” on the main stage, tackling many social issues, namely, the raising prices, the women’s quota and rights, the interaction and communication among parents and their children, and that of parents and school.
GAM’s Band for folkloric arts also attracted the Parks’ visitors with its rapture and traditional performance including Dabkah and popular dances with pure Jordanian flavor.
Bassam Al Jbour, Ziad Kiswani, and Ibrahim Abu Ghareeb, all from the Band, sang “Mahla el Dar”, “Ya Saad”, and “Mahyouba”, sequentially.
The City Manager of Amman, ‘Ammar Gharaybeh, inspected the main stage and the children’s stage, and he also attended some of the held activities, then he was briefed on the services rendered to the attendees, such as the preparation of all security and convenience elements all through the Festival.
The Autostrad Band presented an interesting show mixing western and eastern music using the rhythms of saxophone, classic guitar, electric guitar, drums and organ.
The artist Yazan Al Rosan amused the audience with songs written and composed by his Band, talking about many issues of the daily life; to name some of these songs “Ana Bokra M’aatel”, “Kanabaieh”, “Safer”, “Qalbi”, and “Ya Salam”.
On the children’s stage, many cartoon characters resumed their shows, as well as the play “Anza Al ‘Eneizah”, and “Maktabati” (My Mobile Library).
On Thursday, the Jordanian artist Nahawand presented her tableau on the main stage accompanied by GAM’s Band, and Al Khareqoun Band (the Incredible) performed Break Dance shows.
