Registration is now open for Counselling Arabia Conference at Dubai Women’s College

Dubai Women’s College announced that registration for Counselling Arabia Conference is now open.  The conference which is held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of  Technology (HCT), Dubai Women’s College (DWC) will be held from April 27th – 29th, 2010.
Daryl Simourd, DWC’s Career Guidance Counselor said “A new feature added to the Counselling Arabia website ( this year is a secure online payment system.  Registrants are taking advantage of the early bird discounts by registering online using this new service.  Early bird registration is only available until March 30, 2010.”
The conference brings together key professionals to discuss and develop innovative concepts in counselling practices across the region. The three-day conference will include a total of 59 workshops, presentations and training programs and will be presented in Arabic and the English language.
With the theme “Illuminate: Inspiring People, Opening Minds”, Counselling Arabia 2010 will focus on new developments and inspirational models in the field of counseling. As one of the region’s foremost events Counselling Arabia is designed for professionals and students working or studying in the field of counselling, academic advising, career development, human resources, social work and special needs. National and regional experts will discuss progressive and innovative trends in the emerging markets thus helping students and other participants make educational, training and occupational choices and manage their careers.
This year, Counselling Arabia will host 2 keynote speakers - Shawn Achor, a winner of over a dozen distinguished teaching awards at Harvard University who will discuss The Ripple Effect:  Emotional Contagion in the Workplace and Hanan Nagi, a world-class Executive and Business Coach, Trainer, Facilitator and International Speaker who will discuss the topic of What’s Keeping you From Reaching the Top?
