Jordan's King Abdullah II intends to soon pay official visits to Israel and the Palestinian territories, the kingdom's Prime Minister was quoted as saying on Sunday. During his meeting with a number of Arab members in the Israeli Knesset on Sunday, Faisal al Fayez said the visit will be held "within weeks."
Petra news agency reported that during his meeting with the Israeli Arab lawmakers the king stressed Jordan's keenness to provide Palestinian brethren with every possible support with a view to enable them achieve their
aspirations and establish their independent viable state.
The King affirmed that his recent meetings with European leaders focused on the necessity of continuing the EU and the international community's support to efforts that aim at pushing the peace process forward, ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, and establishing a just, comprehensive and permanent peace in the region.
