The second phase of the prisoner swap between Hizbullah and Israel would include precise information on Israeli airman Ron Arad, missing since he was shot down over Lebanon in 1986, and on three Israeli soldiers missing since the 1982 Sultan Yaaqoub battle, the Lebanese Al Mustakbal reported.
Lebanese-based diplomatic sources cited in the newspaper said that in return for the information on the navigator and three soldiers, Israel would release Samir Kuntar - who took part in a 1979 Nahariya attack that left four Israelis dead.
Moreover, reports said, prisoner George Abdullah would be released from a French prison. Abdullah was arrested in France in 1984 in connection with the murder of foreign diplomats, including the 1982 killing of an official of the Israeli embassy in Paris.
The newspaper was quoted as saying that Israel would also release other Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian prisoners as part of the deal. (Albawaba.com)
