The Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) is to make its international debut at this month’s Al Ain Aerobatic Show. Two RBAF F16 aircraft will perform daily at the four day spectacular, running at Al Ain International Airport in the United Arab Emirates from January 27-30, thrilling crowds with close formation fly pasts at both maximum and minimum speeds.

“The inclusion of the RBAF will be a major highlight of a show which is the largest in the event’s eight-year history. The RBAF pilots are part of an international line up which also features some of the world's top pilots from Croatia, Hungary, Italy, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the USA,” said Faisal Al Sheikh, Head – Major Events Division, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), which hosts the show. “The event is increasingly attracting visitors from around the region and we hope that there will be a larger than ever contingent from Bahrain who make the short journey down the Gulf.”

Held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Al Ain Aerobatic Show is hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company, organised by ADTA and the UAE Air Force and is supported by an extensive list of sponsors.

These include gold sponsors Etihad, Pilatus, Al Ain Water and Abu Dhabi National Hotels, along with silver sponsors Mubadala Aerospace, ADAT, Al Ain Municipality and Panasonic. Costa is the official retailer which will partner with The National, a leading UAE English language daily newspaper, to create ‘The National Costa Coffee Lounge’ – a relaxed venue to grab a coffee and paper. Mercedes Benz meanwhile will provide the official vehicles.

Daily tickets for the show are pegged at last year’s prices - Dhs40 per adult and Dhs25 for children between three and 10 years. Children under the age of three get in free. They can be bought via www.timeouttickets.com or from a special Toll Free hotline: 800 4669.
