ALBAWABA - The Russian army fired drones targeting Kharkiv on Oct. 22. Ukrainian media reported that a kindergarten was hit in the airstrike.
Kyiv Independent outlined that a Russian attack damaged a kindergarten and left one person dead and 10 others injured. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov revealed that teachers and 48 children were inside the building.
Terekhov added that the children were not injured and were moved by emergency services to a safe place.
The drone attack hit the city's Kholodnohirskyi district on Wednesday morning, according to Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov. The person killed is a 40-year-old male.
"(The attack happened) in a densely populated area, and one of the buildings housed a private kindergarten. Fortunately, the children were promptly evacuated to a shelter," said Amil Omarov, the head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
