Two Russian airstrikes hit a US-led training camp for Syrian rebels in the Idlib province, Reuters reported Thursday.

Hassan Haj Ali, commander of the Liwa Suqour al-Jabal rebel group, told Reuters the camp had been struck by about 20 missiles in two separate sorties on Thursday.

The US Central Intelligence Agency organized military training for the Syrian rebels in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, according to Reuters, in a train-and-equip program that has been a major source of controversy.
