Saraya Aqaba Real Estate Development, owner of one of the most prestigious real estate developments in the city of Aqaba, is proud to sponsor the ASEZA Inward Mission, which also coincides with the Fifth Anniversary Celebration of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
The event will be held on the 15th and 16th of this month at the Intercontinental Aqaba Hotel and will be attended by Government Officials and Investors alongside leading business people and key decision makers. Its purpose is to discuss achievements, share investment experience and introduce the investment opportunities available in Aqaba.
Saraya Aqaba's sponsorship for this celebration reflects the company's mission to support developments that will make Aqaba a center for tourism and investment, as well as contributing to the growing prosperity of the Jordanian economy by following the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
During this celebration, ASEZA will introduce its achievements from the past five years, such as its success in attracting the many regional and international investments, as well as giving a brief about existing investment opportunities and shedding light on its promotional campaigns. Then delegates will have the opportunity to introduce their own experiences in Aqaba through special workshops and seminars.

Our first step towards community involvement in Aqaba has already started with the launch of the Saraya Scholarship Fund, which will provide local students with the opportunity to study Hotels and Hospitality overseas, and will bring new knowledge and skills to the area. Also, Saraya Aqaba will directly and indirectly provide thousands of local job opportunities before and after its completion".
So far, ASEZA has managed to attract US$2 billion of investment in tourism projects and during the coming two years, it is expects to attract an additional $2 billion rising to $6 billion by 2020. Investments will be spread across many fields including tourism which will account for 50% of the total. This capital has already helped encourage tourist numbers to Aqaba to rise from 238 thousand in 2000 to around 450 thousand in 2005. This in turn has reflected positively on local businesses such as hotels, restaurants and aviation.
