Saraya Jordan appoints Dr. Khalid Al Wazani as the General Manager of Saraya Aqaba. Dr. Wazani brings with him years of expertise in the fields of economy and investment, which will reflect positively on Saraya Aqaba project's development and implementation, ensuring sound handling of the large-scale tourism project.
Dr. Wazani most recently served as Deputy Chairman & Director General for the Social Security Corporation in Jordan. Prior to that, he held various positions reflecting his interest in the fields of Economics and Investment.

Dr. Wazani recently held the position of Director General for the Jordanian Customs Department before becoming an Advisor and Director of the Economic and Development Division at the Royal Hashemite Court but has most recently served as the Head of His Majesty King Abdullah II Economic team.
Dr. Wazani's qualifications include a Masters degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo (AUC) as well as a PHD in Economics from Cairo University. He also won the well Known Fulbright Scholarship for Post Doctoral Research in 1997, the Shoman Prize for Arab Young Scientist in 1999, and the Independence Medal of the First Order.
Headed by Sheikh Saad Hariri, Saraya Aqaba's Board of Directors currently consists of Mr. Ali Kolaghassi and Mr. Samer Mouasher representing Saraya Jordan, Ms. Mayssaa' Al-Batayneh and Mr. Osama Dabbas representing the Social Security Corporation, Mr. Salim Nazzal representing the Arab Bank, Mr. Imad Fakhoury representing Aqaba Development Corporation, Mr. Abdul Raouf Bitar representing EFB Brokerage and Investment Company, and HE Mr. Samir Rifai representing Dubai International Capital.
