Saudi minister of information Fuad bin Abdulsalam al-Farsi arrived in Muscat on Saturday on a visit to Oman.

According to the official Saudi News Agency (SPA), the minister will attend the Muscat international forum on “intellectual property,” and hold talks with his Omani counterpart Hamad bin Mohammad al-Rashidi on ways of strengthening aspects of information cooperation between the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman.

In a statement to the Omani news agency (ONA), al-Farsi underscored the importance of the international forum on “intellectual property,” due to be inaugurated on Monday. Saudi Arabia and Oman are members of the World International Property Organization (WIPO), the world body that administers 23 treaties on intellectual property (16 on industrial property and 6 on copyright).

The organization held a meeting last week in Tehran. (Albawaba.com)
