Saudis Donated $50m to Somalis in Six Years

The Saudi higher commission for raising donations has collected a total of SR 183.3 million (about $50m) to help the Somali refugees during the last six years, according to a report released by the organization, cited by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Saturday. 

The report said contributions in cash amounted to SR 67.85 million while the value of donations in material stood at SR 115.44 million. 

It said 29,220 tons of relief goods were distributed among the Somali refugees during the period, according to the agency – Albawaba.com
