Senegal's Mamadou N'diaye, a seven-foot center selected 26th in the National Basketball Association draft, signed a three-year contract with the Denver Nuggets Monday.
The deal will bring the African between $1.941m and $2.329m under league salary rules. American Dan McClintock, another center taken in round two, also agreed to terms with the NBA club.
After playing without a true center last season, the Nuggets dealt their top pick in 2001 to the Utah Jazz. During an injury-filled senior year at Auburn, N'diaye, who set an Auburn University record with 241 blocked shots, setting an average of 8.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game – (AFP)
