A settler traveling in her car on the road from the settlement of Efrat to Jerusalem was seriously hurt in the head Sunday morning after being hit by a blunt metal object.
Initial reports said the object was thrown from a Palestinian truck that managed to flee the scene. Later, after the Israeli police investigated the incident it concluded it was an accident.
Elsewhere, two Palestinians were killed in an intensive gunbattle between rival groups in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm late Saturday night, according to Palestinian sources.
One of the fatalities was the local commander of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah. The other was also an al-Aqsa Brigades activist, but belonged to a rival group within the group. (Albawaba.com)
