Sharad Nair joins Barclays Wealth
as Director to its International Private Banking Team


Barclays Wealth, a leading global wealth management institution, announces the appointment of Sharad Nair, as Director, to its International Private Banking team in the Middle East.  He will report into Soha Nashaat, CEO of Barclays Wealth, Middle East and North Africa. Within his role, Sharad will be leading the team of private bankers covering the NRI (Non Resident Indian) clients.

Sharad joins Barclays Wealth from Bank Sarasin-Alpen (ME) Ltd, Dubai where he spent the last three years as Managing Director and headed their GCC and South Asian Private Banking Business. Prior to joining Bank Sarasin-Alpen, he was the Unit Head (Private Banking) at Mashreq Bank in their Wealth Management and Investment services divisions where he was instrumental in establishing Mashreq Bank’s investment services & mass affluent banking business. He was also responsible for driving the balance sheet growth by acquiring new acquisitions and deepening the existing relationships.
