As the child is the basic unit of society, so, the attention has been paid to him and work for his education is natural and compatible with the attitudes of the Emirates High Command, which aimed to create a knowledge-based society and capable of dealing with the Age  developments, especially in the areas of culture and knowledge.

This  session comes as a confirmation of the success of the previous two sessions of the festival, which have been held in 2006 and 2008 under the slogan of "Let's read" under the auspices of Sharjah Ruler’s wife, HH Sheikha Jawahir Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the "Supreme Council for Family Affairs." In this context, Ehsan El Swedi - Head of the festival and the General Director of the general department of children's centers – indicates that this event comes at a time where children are exposed to many of the temptations from the playing  and recreation tools, and they are targeted from numerous of satellite channels which wasted their time in unhelpful things,  she is asserting that the festival comes to provide reading and knowledge to children in a form consistent with their spirit, in the big world, which vary in their  parameters, and vary in their trends, reading will remain the most common denominator, for people to know each other,  cultures to be reconciled and interlocutor  in his favor.
