His Excellency, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, will inaugurate the first Al Arabiya forum entitled: “The Challenges: Academia and Media” on 21 June in Dubai. The event brings together students, media professionals and educationalists to examine the challenges faced by the media industry and academia.
“We are honoured that HE Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research will deliver the keynote address as part of his vision to create the best educational opportunities for young Arab talent. Indeed, it is exactly how we can create the next generation of Arab broadcasters that is driving debate at this first Al Arabiya Forum,” said Dr. Nabil Khatib, Executive Editor, Al Arabiya.
The day-long forum will focus on bridging the gap between academics and media professionals. Interactive debates will analyse the differences between media studies in the region and the practicalities of working in the field. Leading regional experts will exchange knowledge and best practice in what promises to be a lively debate.
Conclusions and recommendations will be presented by Dr. Nabil Al Khatib at the close of the Forum.
