Three Italian tourists were killed and 21 other people were wounded on Wednesday when their speeding bus smashed into a car parked by the side of the highway in Egypt's Sinai desert, police said.
All but four of the 25 Italians on the bus were injured while three Egyptians, including the driver, were also injured in the accident near Ras Sidr, some 400 kilometers northeast of the capital Cairo, police added, according to AFP.
An Italian embassy spokesman said the tourists were on vacation at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh and were making a day-trip to Cairo. (Albawaba.com)
