The visit paid Wednesday in Algiers by the head of the new socialist government in Spain, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, constituted an opportunity for both countries to strengthen their political ties and productive economic cooperation, APS reported.
Zapatero was accompanied by an important delegation, made up of Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos and Industry, Tourism and Trade Minister Jose Montilla. The delegation was also made up of senior executives from major companies as Repsol, Cepsa and Iberdrola.
Zapatero's visit to Algiers was preceded by his foreign minister in early May. (albawaba.com)
