After a year and a half of renovations and approximately $15 million dollars investment, Le Meridien Amman lit up its façade and held a spectacular carnival to unveil the luxuriously renovated guest rooms and suites of one of Amman’s long established and most popular hotels.

The carnival in Venice theme, held under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Osama Dabbas, Minister of Tourism, saw the hotel lit up for a spectacular event with fire breathers, stilt walkers and live jazz music keeping approximately 1000 guests entertained in the build up to the cutting of the giant red ribbon wrapped around the hotel’s exterior.

The multiple award-winning hotel has given a complete face-lift to 300 of its guestrooms, 34 suites, in addition to its four presidential and royal suites. The new rooms have been lavishly appointed with specially commissioned furniture, paintings and carpeting, and have been fully equipped with the latest state of the art technology. The presidential and royal suites are a unique design, decorated with fine fabrics, specially designed furnishings, and original artworks, providing the visitor the impression of a private home.  Le Meridien Amman’s renovations included the introduction of new business center in addition to The Royal Club Lounge which has also been elegantly re-designed by the world renowned LRF Designers International Ltd-UK.

"We are proud to unveil the new face of Le Meridien Amman, where our new rooms and in particular the suites, will provide our customers with beautiful, stylish and contemporary, yet comfortable accommodation, the highest standard of services and exceptional amenities," stated Gerhard Mansbart, General Manager of Le Méridien Amman. He went on to say "Our goal was to maintain the warmth and comfort of the hotel that our guests know and love, while modernizing the ambiance and décor."

Fahed AbuShaar, Area Director of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, expressed his excitement at the re-launch stating, “Le Meridien Amman performance has improved tremendously, with increased occupancy levels and average rate year on year. With Amman growing in popularity as a tourist destination, as well as being acknowledged as an important city to do business, we are very pleased with the extensive renovations that have taken place and have high expectations for the future.”

The new renovations have created a chic style and eclectic elegance that perfectly complement the hotel’s unique architectural design, luxury amenities and first class service. Mansbart stated, “We have spent a considerable amount of time, effort and investment on refurbishing the hotel and we couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome.” Mansbart went on to say, “Le Meridien Amman has a proud history as being one of Amman’s most popular and recognizable hotels, which is something we wanted to maintain. These latest renovations will continue the tradition of providing our guests with first class accommodation, award winning facilities and a truly personal service.”
