Strong Quake Jolts Northeast Iran

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale Tuesday shook northeastern Iran late Tuesday, reported Iran News Agency (IRNA). 

According to the agency, the quake occurred in Bojnourd in Khorassan province near the border with Turkmenistan at 7:49 p.m. (1519 GMT). 

IRNA added that there were no reports of damage or casualties. 

The tremor is the sixth since mid-August in this part of the country, said the agency - Albawaba.com
