ALBAWABA - On May 27, 2023, An 18-year-old student was arrested after stabbing his teacher in the face and fleeing the scene in Western France, according to French authorities.
According to the Daily Tribune, the authorities added that the victim "suffered a facial injury that is not life-threatening and that the incident took place in the town of Chemille-en-Anjou located in Western France as mentioned above. The police were seen outside the scene, according to photos taken by an AFP photographer.
Public prosecutor Eric Bouillard later confirmed that the student didn't have any religious or radical motives behind the attack but that he was rather "unhappy".

The incident happened during class after recess break causing students to panic in the room as the suspect walked towards the teacher, grabbed her from behind, and stabbed her in the face. The prosecutor added that the student didn't seem to hold any grudges towards the teacher specifically.
His fellow students stated that they were "Deeply Shocked" since he appeared to be in a good mood before the incident took place Monday morning.
The prosecutor added:
"He saw this knife and bought it, knowing that he was going to do something with it," he said, adding that the pupil complained of "too much pressure."
Later, authorities confirmed that counseling was given to the students and teacher after the disturbing event.
The Minister of Education also took to her official X (formerly known as Twitter) account and expressed her outrage about the matter by saying that she was "deeply shocked and outraged".
