Singer Subhi Tawfiq has finally come up with an album singing in his mother tongue, Lebanese. The album will be a retaliation to critics who charged that there were vile reasons behind the singer's refusal to sing in the Lebanese accent.
According to ‘Al Ittihad’ magazine, the album includes Lebanese songs, composed by Nasif Arouq, Nicola Sa’ade Nakhle and Yiha Al Hussein.
Furthermore, the Egyptian songs are composed by Amjad El Atafi and Khaled El Bakri.
Subhi was constantly under attack and was charged with being biased towards the Egyptian dialect.
In an interview with ‘Al Ittihad’ newspaper, however, the singer verified that he only cares about the good expressive words, which can be said with any accent – Albawaba.com
