The Western Region Development Council (WRDC) – the central coordinating body leading development and promoting opportunity in Al Gharbia, the Western Region of Abu Dhabi –, has successfully concluded its first participation in ADIHEX with a distinctive presence.
The WRDC stand witnessed an enormous level of interest over the four days from visitors to the exhibition. This provided WRDC with an excellent opportunity to highlight its role within Al Gharbia and to showcase the important cultural and sporting festivals that take place across the Western Region, including Al Gharbia Watersports, the Tel Moreeb Festival, the Liwa Date Festival, the Al Dhafra Camel Festival and the Falconry Festival.
On his part, H.E. Mohamed Hamad Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, Director General of WRDC praised the consecutive successes ADIHEX has recorded over the years largely due to the support of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which reflects the country's commitment to preserving our rich culture and heritage.
Al Mazrouie stated: "We were delighted with our participation at ADIHEX and were particularly grateful to his Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and the other national dignitaries who visited our stand. We would also like to thank the thousands of visitors who were keen to learn more about Al Gharbia Set to become one of the most talked about tourist destinations in years to come and host of many of our important festivals and cultural events".
Al Mazrouie concluded: "One of the highlights of the exhibition for us was the unveiling of the Al Gharbia Explorer visitor's guide. This now plays a major role in highlighting the pristine desert islands, unexplored coastline, ancient oases, incredible wildlife, amazing luxury hotels and the world's largest sand desert. The success of the guide is shown through all copies having been given away and more are already being printed."
