A Sudanese military helicopter crashed on Wednesday near Jebel Awlia town, about 50 kilometer (30 miles) south of Khartoum, and caught fire but left no casualties, state Sudan Television reported.
The television quoted Armed Forces spokesman General Mohamed Osman Yassin as saying that the aircraft was on "an administrative flight" from Kosti, further south in central Sudan, to the capital Khartoum.
"The aircraft was completely burnt but nobody onboard was injured," the spokesman said, without saying how many were aboard, nor giving the cause of the crash – KHARTOUM (AFP)
