At least 10 recruits were killed in a suicide bombing at an army camp run by Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi's government in Aden, Reuters reported.

The attack was claimed by Daesh, one of several armed groups operating in Yemen. Daesh recently warned young Yemenis against joining up with the Yemeni army.

Several were wounded in the attack targeting the recruits at the new Ras Abbas camp in Aden, recently opened to train new conscripts to fight the Houthi rebels.

The bomber was wearing the same military uniform as the recruits, enabling him to infiltrate the crowd and detonate the bomb at the camp's gate, officials told Reuters.

A nearby hospital said they had received 10 bodies, while dozens of wounded were transported to other hospitals in the city

Medics at a nearby hospital said they had received 10 bodies. Dozens of wounded were taken to other hospitals in Aden.

This attack is the latest in a series of deadly bombings to hit Aden since Saudi-backed forces seized the city from Houthi rebels last July.
