Swiss Trade Delegation Explores Algerian Market

Forty Swiss businessmen held talks with Algerian trade and economy officials Saturday on investment in various sectors of the economy, including finance, telecommunications and agriculture, said BBC.  

The talks also covered cooperation in the fields of tourism and mining, it added.  

The report said there has been a growing interest in the Algerian market since the election of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika last year, who promised to reform the economy and improve the security situation after years of Islamic insurgency and widespread violence.  

Quoting the official Algerian television Saturday, BBC said the volume of trade between the Switzerland and Algeria last year reached one-hundred-and-sixty-million dollars –
