31 people were killed and 44 wounded in a two buses collision in south Syria Thursday, Syrian medical sources confirmed Friday.
Director of Sweida health services, Dr. Ihsan Salim, told al-Thawra newspaper the crush was between two big passenger-buses and that more than 12 ambulances rushed to the site of the accident to help evacuating casualties.
Police sources said the cause of the accident was the high speed by one of the two buses drivers and not following the passing rules. Sweida is about 100 km south Damascus.
