Syria joins ICSID

Syria is determined to lure foreign investors. This is apparent following Syria's joining to the Washington-based International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Syria’s ambassador to Washington, Imad Mustafa, inked the treaty on behalf of the Syrian government, it was reported by <i>SANA</i> on Friday. ICSID is an autonomous international organization, which maintains close links with the World Bank.
