Syria president, Lebanon army commander hold talks in Damascus

Commander of the Lebanese army General Michel Suleiman held talks in Damascus Saturday with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on bilateral relations, a presidential statement said.

It added that both sides discussed coordination between the Lebanese and Syrian armies.

Suleiman's meeting was held hours before a visit by Terje Road-Larsen, UN secretary general's special envoy to follow up implementation of resolution 1559, to Damascus as part of a regional tour.
