Ta’aheel, the regional knowledge and skills transfer professional training & Consultancy Company founded in Saudi Arabia, has shifted its headquarters from Jeddah to Dubai Knowledge Village in a move aimed at providing major Food & Beverages manufacturers and retailers based in UAE and the region with a range of innovative, interactive programs custom-designed to the needs of each organisation.
The move was announced by Ta’aheel CEO Sharaf Dabbagh who emphasized the practical applications of the training programs the centre offers. ‘We are first and foremost a performance-driven company. Our aim is to raise the performance levels of our Trainees in a way that positively impacts on the organisations we serve in the workplace and the community.’
According to Dabbagh, this practical, result-oriented approach, which extends training beyond the classroom and lecture hall in to the working environment, has evolved out of an integrated balance of Eastern and Western applications. ‘We believe that an Eastern or Asian approach to knowledge and skills transfers is in many respects more relevant to Middle Eastern organisations than many purely Western-based methodologies.’
Many of Ta’aheel’s 40 contracted training consultants are from the Far East - from Japan, China and Malaysia – as well as from Saudi Arabia, the Gulf and other parts of the Arab world and Ta’aheel has integrated elements of a range of Far Asian theoretical, philosophical and practical applications. ‘Middle- and Far-Eastern societies have many things in common,’ Dabbagh said ‘and yet, there is much that we can learn from the Far East in our approach to productivity, proactivity, time management and the work ethic.’
Managers and future managers will have the opportunity to benefit from Ta’aheel’s Eastern-oriented approach to training on 14-16 November with an innovative management training course based on the oldest military treatise in the world, Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu’s classic ‘Art of War’, which has become a teaching paradigm for business. The course, entitled ‘Sun Tzu Art of War – In Leadership, Corporate Politics and Strategic Business Empowerment’ aims to develop a range of management-related skills based upon Sun Tzu’s enduring military paradigm from developing a warrior’s mindset in relation to corporate business, establishing authority, adapting swiftly to shifts of circumstance and creating strategies that will ensure organisational triumph.
Ta’aheel has further strengthened its presence in Dubai by contracting celebrity training guru Jeff Tan to lead several of signature courses. ‘Jeff Tan has a huge following in the Middle East for his vast knowledge and experience of global corporate culture, both Eastern and Western, and his understanding of the psychology of performance enhancement. Jeff Tan’s hands on global experience helping multinational and Chinese corporations achieve high performance and record growth is particularly relevant to our focus on providing a powerful training platform for Food and Beverages organizations in the region.’
The Chinese-American corporate consultant and trainer has worked for a PepsiCo Foods International, General Manager for Nabisco Foods South China, Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, , Johnson & Johnson ASEAN, Tibetan Medicine, Taiking Life Insurance Co., Guinness Anchor Berhad, Roche Diagnostics, Beijing Novartis Pharma, Hua Hui Telecommunications, Hua Sheng Pharmaceutical, Europao Foods, Pfizer Pharmaceutical China among other organisations.
