A Tale of Two Camerons

Though little is known about writer-director Cameron Crowe’s latest project, the film will definitely reassemble the winning Jerry Maguire team of Crowe and Tom Cruise, reported ABC online. Cameron Diaz and Penélope Cruz are also on the short list of actors in negotiations to join the heavily guarded project, according to Variety, said ABC.

Unlike Crowe’s new movie, Almost Famous, which went nameless until about a month before its release, this film has already been christened: Vanilla Sky. The film is a love story and will be produced by Cruise and his business partner, Paula Wagner.

Vanilla Sky is due to start production sometime this fall.

Diaz, who’s in Italy filming Gangs of New York with co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, would jump over to Sky before filming a to-be-named picture for Cruel Intentions director Roger Kumble.

Spanish actress Cruz is currently on a Greek island filming Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, which also stars Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale. She also appears with Matt Damon in the December release All the Pretty Horses-Albawaba.com.
