Tamer Hosny, renowned Egyptian singer and an Arab heart throb, will thrill audiences in an exclusive DSF 2010 concert at the Amphitheatre in Dubai Media City on Friday, January 29. After having made a GCC debut in DSF 2008 that witnessed an attendance of almost 8000 fans, and following it up with another successful concert during DSF 2009, the singer is back this year with his chart-topping hits. The concert will be one among many during DSF 2010 that is being held from Jan 28 to Feb 28.

Hosny will be singing some of his best hits to date in addition to his old hits which turned him into a hugely popular Arabic pop star. Unlike his previous concerts during DSF, Tamer’s show this DSF includes an exciting DJ competition where teenage DJs from all over UAE can compete for prizes. For the first time in any of his shows, Tamer brings with him a whole entourage of dancers to dazzle audiences in a one-of-a-kind performance. Tamer will take the stage at 10pm in the show that is expected to go until the early hours next day.

While the competition will be held from 4pm to 7pm, DJ Cowboy, one of Middle East’s renowned DJs will perform from 9pm to 9:50pm.

Tickets for the concert are priced at AED 175 and AED 275 and are available at Virgin online and all Virgin Megastores. The tickets give visitors access to the competition, the show by DJ Cowboy, and Tamer’s concert.

Musical concerts during DSF are a major attraction every year and attract thousands of visitors from not only within the country but from around the region. This year’s line-up of concerts includes Nickelback, Status Quo, Sean Kingston, and popular Indian playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan.
