Tamer Hosny to donate Jan 16 concert fee to the people of Gaza

Tamer Hosny, the Arab heartthrob who is slated to perform on Jan 16 as part of DSF 2009, has announced that he will donate his concert fee to the people affected in the ongoing Gaza conflict. Thousands of fans are expected to converge at Dubai Festival City in the show that will begin at 9pm.

After having made a GCC debut in DSF 2008 that witnessed an attendance of almost 8000 fans, the singer is back this year with his chart-topping hits. The concert will be one among many planned during DSF 2009 that is being held from Jan 15 to Feb 15.

Fans of the extremely popular artist will have the chance to see him live in action for the second time in this part of the region. Hosny will be singing some of his best hits to date in addition to his old hits which turned him into a hugely popular Arabic pop star.

Musical concerts during DSF are a major attraction every year and attract thousands of visitors from not only within the country but from around the region. This year’s line-up of concerts includes Iron Maiden, Shaggy, Fatboy Slim, and Zakir Hussain, to name a few.
