Tefal Launches “Nutritious & Delicious” Ramadan Campaign In Saudi Arabia

Tefal's "Nutritious and Delicious," healthy eating awareness campaign has partnered with the International Medical Centre (IMC) hospital in Jeddah and launched its "Pre-Ramadan Campaign on Diabetes recently.

Tefal's "Nutritious and Delicious Campaign," is touring Gulf and Middle East countries and partnering with hospitals and leading health professionals to create awareness on the dangers of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and changing unhealthy eating habits.

One of the products unveiled at the event is Nutricook, a pressure cooker with four exclusive cooking programmes that offer optimum cooking for each food group retaining vitamins in food as well as the original colour and texture. Nutricook is the only pressure cooker in the world with four exclusive programmes for meat, vegetables, starchy food, and fish making food palatable and healthy. Nutricook was launched on the Saudi market in Ramadan.

Nathalie Haddad: Product Manager of Tefal added that the popular Tefal product "Acitfry," was demonstrated and the versatile steamer "Vitacuisine" was displayed. "Actifry," sold 2 million units worldwide following its launch last year. This revolutionary cooker fries a kilo of French fries with only one spoonful of oil, using an innovative technology. Vitacuisine retains vitamins and food texture when used to steam food.

At IMC, medical staff conducted free Body Mass Index (BMI) testing and free blood sugar tests on people attending the seminar to determine if the individual is obese or has diabetes. 600 people attended the event.

Doctors also gave lectures to patients on healthy eating during Ramadan. The subjects of the lectures were "Getting Ready to Fast during Ramadan," "Diet and Fasting." "Diabetes and Kidney Health during Fasting," And the final lecture was on "Fasting for Children and Teenagers." The lecturers were specialist medical practitioners at IMC.
