Art Basel Miami Beach brings together a selection of top galleries as well as architectural, design, film and musical events and talks for four consecutive days. The exhibition sites will be located throughout the city’s picturesque Art Deco District and Miami Convention Center from the 4th – 7th December, 2008.

In a continued bid to promote and represent regional contemporary Middle Eastern artists, The Third Line is proud to announce its participation in Art Basel Miami Beach, an annual international event dedicated to modern and contemporary art.

Art Basel 40 Miami Beach is a highly competitive and selective international art fair launched in 1968. An impressive selection of over 220 leading art galleries from around the world will exhibit artworks by over 2,000 artists.

The Third Line is proud to have been selected to be included in the Art Supernova section of the fair. Art Supernova, a new sector added to the fair last year is a platform that offers 20 galleries the opportunity to present new works by their emerging artists.

 

About The Third Line

The Third Line is an art gallery representing contemporary Middle Eastern artists in Dubai, creating paths that ultimately lead to a dialogue between the artists and the public. In May 2008, The Third Line opens a gallery in Doha, to expand the representation of art in the region.

Along with traditional gallery offerings, The Third Line organises non-profit, alternative programs including Kutub, a bi-lingual Arab literature appreciation circle and a Documentary & Arab Feature Film Series; and, along with 4 other creative groups The Third Line co-organizes Pecha Kucha Dubai, an international multimedia forum for creatives and designers.
