Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) has won the Certificate of Excellence for the third prize at the prestigious UAE Web Awards under the category of government organisations during an exclusive award ceremony held in Dubai earlier this week.

The annual award ceremony evaluates websites in more than thirty categories from both private and public sector. Some of the categories are Corporate, Banks, Hotels and Industrial.

“We are proud to be awarded the third position under the category of government organisations at our first attempt to participate in the prestigious UAE Web Award. Our website is the virtual gateway to our presence in building the municipal system in Abu Dhabi emirate. We use this online platform to communicate our progress on projects across the emirate, announce any new laws and update residents on our role and responsibility as a regulator of Abu Dhabi’s municipal system,” says Nasir Aljesmi, Director, PR & Communications Office.

The Pan Arab Web Awards Academy in association with AYNA , MICROSOFT , BSA and MSN honoured winners from leading government and private sector organisations in the UAE. The national level Awards have been created to recognise excellence in web design, development, web ownership skills and creativity.

“Being awarded for the design and content of the website only proves that DMA site is well constructed, user friendly and follows the vision of the government to establish a futuristic Information Technology infrastructure across Abu Dhabi,” concluded Aljesmi.
