The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Friday slapped Real Oviedo's French defender Franck Rabarivony with a four-match ban for a head butt against Athletico Madrid's Dutch striker Jimmy Hasselbaink during last Sunday's Spanish league clash.

The 29-year-old Rabarivony claimed that Hasselbaink was provoking him throughout the game. He has 10 days to appeal the decision, which will keep him out of action for the rest of the season and the beginning of next.
