Top Asset Management and IT experts to share their experience at the 4th Maximo Middle East User Group Conference

Participants in the biennial Maximo Middle East User Group Conference, one of the region’s most important business gatherings, to be held at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, on November 16th and 17th 2005, will get an opportunity to attend presentations by leading strategic asset management experts, including senior executives from MRO Software, Inc. and management from IBM, BP and many major regional organizations.

Around 400 participants, the vast majority being existing Maximo users from a dozen Middle Eastern and North African countries, but also partners select prospective clients intend to benefit from the “Maximo IMPACT” conference by learning how to manage assets to their peak performance and optimize their lifetime return on investment in full alignment with business objectives. The conference will shed light on how solutions allow organizations to clearly define expectations of asset performance, establish service-level agreements, and enact automated response plans for proactive asset and service management.

The theme for the two-day conference will be “Maximo IMPACT”. The first day will explore the remarkable impact MRO is making in the Enterprise and IT Asset Management, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Service Management market with the launch of the state-of-the-art Maximo Enterprise Suite (MXES), as well as the impact the solution has had on user organizations by allowing them to reduce costs, improve asset-related decision-making and increase operational efficiencies. The second day will comprise breakout sessions addressing specific topics in the morning and vertical tracks during the afternoon.

During the first day of the conference, Jack Young, Executive Vice President, MRO Software, Inc. will have two sessions, where he will present an overview on MXES and conduct a MXES Discussion Forum. The Evaluation for Maintenance to Asset & Service Management will be highlighted by Johan Arts, Vice President, Industry Marketing, MRO Software, Inc. during his session.

Maximo users, partners and prospective clients from difference industries will attend the conference to demonstrate and share their experience with each other. Top subject matter experts like Johan Nell, Associate Partner Industrial Sector, Business Consulting Services IBM, will talk about Process and Technology Changes. Further, Steve Ingall, Managing Director, UK Practices, Fox IT, will speak on Service Management in Action.

The Oil & Gas as well as Utility sectors will also have an important role in this conference, with three leading companies presenting in the event. Sulaiman Sultan, Team Leader KIMS Project, Kuwait National Petroleum Company will demonstrate KNPC‘s Post Maximo Implementation Review and Brian Johnson, E&P WMS Program Manager, British Petroleum will discuss their transformation to Strategic Asset Management Systems. Suleiman Al Qasmi, IT Manager at Oman Wastewater Services Company, will present the highlights of this heavily service oriented organization’s recent Maximo project.

Other industries, including Manufacturing, Transportation, Facility Management, Government and Defence, will also be specifically addressed through the afternoon tracks on 17th November since those verticals are representing a growing share of the Maximo community worldwide. Their particular needs will be discussed with subject matter experts in those respective verticals ensuring tailor made Maximo solutions beyond the traditional oil, gas and utility sectors.

The Maximo Middle East User Group Conference will also feature an exhibition area where MRO technology and complementary solution partners will be on hand to assist participants in developing their business. Both the conference and exhibition will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah, the world-class luxury resort set in Dubai.
